More than at any other time of year, when we move into the cold Winter months, I notice the biggest change in my skin, and have to switch up my skincare accordingly. Like many others, I notice a change in the oiliness of my skin especially. I get breakouts, irritation and a change in my skin texture.

I've been a lover of minimal makeup for a while now and I am a great believer in sticking to a great beauty routine, discovering the products that work for you and then sticking with them.

It doesn't matter if I'm at home in London or Wales or lucky enough to be enjoying some Winter sunshine somewhere, the end game is always the same - a healthy, bronzed glow.

So how do I achieve a Winter sun glow? Find out below and discover some products you might want to add to your makeup bag for 2019!

Drinking lots of water and eating foods with a high water content will help prevent the skin from drying out. Whether I’m in work all day or at home or at Reece’s house, I always be sure to have a big bottle of water with me. I got this 1 litre one from TK Maxx and drink at least two litres from it everyday.

It’s also important to seek ingredients in your skincare and makeup products that will hydrate the skin and help it to retain moisture all day long.

I use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+ before I start my makeup in the morning and after I cleanse at night. It gives skin the "drink" it needs, sinks into my skin really quickly and keeps my skin looking glowy all year round.

I like to give my whole body a healthy, bronzed glow. It makes me feel confident and it would look odd if my neck was super pale! I recently discovered the Tan-Luxe The Gradual - Radiance and absolutely fell in love. It smells divine when I put it on, but doesn’t smell of anything after (hooray - no weird biscuit scent following me around!) and leaves me with a non-streaky, flawless tan that lasts for weeks. It’s a lotion and oil hybrid that delivers a natural, buildable colour and a super natural glow for the face and body.

My minimal make up Winter sun staple has to be the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I have one at Reece’s house, one at my parents’ house and one in my handbag at all times. It’s incredibly hydrating, has SPF 30 and combines the benefits of a BB cream and a CC cream for a radiant finish.

When I’m doing my makeup to go out or out-out I like a little heavier coverage. The Vita Liberata Beauty Blur is my go-to primer on occasions like this. I mix a little with my moisturiser before starting my base. It optimises skin tone, gives a natural glowy tint, blurs imperfections and is an HD primer.

If I already have tan on my face, I reach for the NARS Radiance Primer. This oil-free formula provides immediate radiance thanks to a subtle touch of pearlescence. It looks orgeous under my foundation.

To top off a glowy make up look, minimal or full coverage, I love sweeping some of my favourite highlighter along the tops of my cheek bones and down the centre of my nose. Illamasqua's Beyond Powder in 'Daze' makes my skin appear fresh and radiant with a flattering, iridescent finish.
